First Visit to the Garden Center

We arrived at Merrifield Garden Center by 8:30 Am Saturday morning. We walked in, looked around, and being overwhelmed, promptly found someone to help us. We ended up with a detailed garden design with attention to seasonal blooming, sun and shade. I could not believe it! It took 3 hours, but we walked out with just what we needed and a map of where to plant each thing. Very important for us, who are clueless when it comes to plants.

While Mommy consulted, Daddy and Clara found every fun spot in the place, including this lady bug table. (If we had room, we might have left with it! It was so cute!) They even had popcorn to keep everyone snacking and happy.

Once we had a design, we were on our own to try and hunt down the 37 plants in 17 varieties of shrubs and plants that we needed. Mommy even got two beautiful hydrangea plants!!!

We had our doubts as to whether we would fit everything in the car, and every inch of space was filled front seat to trunk.

With temps already reaching the 90s when we left mid-morning, we were ready for a cold drink. Clara enjoyed "sips" - her first slurpee!
